Josh Singer of Wicker Park disagrees
that New Year's Eve costs a lot
more than a typical long night
of drinking in the city. Singer
is hosting a party at Clybar
in Lincoln Park for 100 of his
friends. Tickets cost $100 for
unlimited drinking.
"If you think about how
much drinks [cost] in Chicago,
when you're paying a flat fee
for unlimited, it's probably
a better deal," said Singer,
26, who said he has been planning
this bash for the last few weeks.
He attended a house party last
year, and this year he didn't
want to go to a random bar and
spend the night drinking with
strangers.
Singer said this is the first
time he's hosted a New Year's
Eve party at a bar, and he has
high expectations that his party
will be one to remember. |
